A recent study found that nearly half of Tepezza users reported hearing-related issues within four Tepezza treatments. Patients’ complaints ranged from muffled hearing, hearing loss, the sensation of their ears being plugged, tinnitus (ringing of the ears), and autophony (perceiving your own voice as unusually loud).
A March 2021 study by the Endocrine Society announced found that that 65% of patients had reported some hearing loss after using Tepezza. Of the patients studied, 77% reported that they had never had an auditory impairment (hearing loss or otherwise) previously.
