Truvada, Viread, Atripla, Complera, and Stribild have been linked to kidney damage and bone density loss. These five antiretroviral medications contain tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), which has been linked to serious side effects that may be permanent even if the patient stops using the TDF containing medication. Gilead Science manufactured, marketed and sold all five of these drugs to HIV patients allegedly knowing that there was a safer effective alternative.
In recent years, Gilead has marketed Truvada as a new tool for HIV prevention. This type of drug use is called “pre-exposure prophylaxis” or PrEP use.
Dangers Side Effects
Tens of thousands of HIV patients have suffered painful and serious side effects caused by these TDF containing drugs. Gilead knew there was a safer, less toxic alternative for more than 10 years and made billions of dollars while concealing this information from patients and their treating physicians.

Lawsuits Against Gilead
We are filing lawsuits on behalf of people who have been harmed by Gilead’s drugs. Gilead exploited HIV patients to maximize their profits. They should be held accountable to the patients and families they harmed.
