No Fee Unless You Win

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.— Walton Telken Bragee is pleased to announce that accomplished trial attorney Alan G. Pirtle has joined the firm, bringing more than three decades of experience representing individuals and families in complex personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
Throughout his distinguished legal career, Pirtle has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases involving motor vehicle and commercial trucking crashes, medical malpractice, product liability, dangerous premises, nursing home neglect, civil rights violations, and police pursuit incidents. His work has resulted in numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, helping clients recover after catastrophic injuries and the loss of loved ones.
“Alan’s reputation as a trial lawyer, his dedication to protecting injured individuals, and his remarkable courtroom experience make him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Troy Walton, Partner at Walton Telken Bragee. “His commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our firm’s mission of providing exceptional legal representation for those facing life’s most difficult circumstances.”
One of Pirtle’s most notable achievements came in 2026 when he helped secure a unanimous 9-0 victory before the Supreme Court of the United States in a landmark trucking liability case. The decision is widely recognized as one of the most significant trucking industry rulings in the Court’s history. That case established that freight brokers may be held accountable when they entrust freight to trucking companies and drivers who the brokers knew or should have known were unsafe, and the trucking company or driver caused a crash.
In recognition of his leadership within the legal profession, Pirtle was also unanimously appointed in 2026 by the Illinois Supreme Court to serve on the Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, where he joins a select group of judges, attorneys, and law professors dedicated to promoting professionalism throughout Illinois.
Pirtle has earned consistent recognition from both his peers and the legal community. Since 2022, he has been selected annually to Best Lawyers in America® for Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation and has been named a Top Lawyer by St. Louis Magazine. He has also been recognized as a Top Ten Trucking Trial Lawyer, a Top 100 Personal Injury Lawyer, and is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Licensed to practice in Illinois, Missouri, the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and multiple federal district courts, Pirtle has also remained active within the legal profession through leadership roles and continuing legal education presentations. He is a member of numerous state and national legal organizations and previously served as President of the Monroe County Bar Association.
“We are excited to welcome Alan to Walton Telken Bragee,” said Adam Bragee, Partner at Walton Telken Bragee. “His extensive litigation experience, proven record of success, and unwavering commitment to serving injured clients will further strengthen the level of advocacy our firm provides throughout Illinois.
Outside the courtroom, Pirtle enjoys spending time with his wife, their rescue dog, and their young adult children. He is also passionate about supporting women’s cancer research and animal welfare organizations through volunteerism and charitable giving.
As Walton Telken Bragee continues to expand its personal injury practice, the addition of Alan G. Pirtle reinforces the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional legal representation to clients throughout Southern Illinois and the St. Louis metropolitan region.
